Alarm
Monitoring
"It is unfathomable how the monitoring station can call so fast to check the
situation when the alarm is tripped." - A. Wallace, New Haven, CT
A monitored alarm system installed in your home means that your home is protected
24/7. The kind of peace of mind that provides - whether you're home or away
- is truly priceless.
Central Station
Standard Security Systems' Connecticut-based central
station monitoring ensures the highest degree of protection from a local provider
familiar with your area (unlike companies that do their monitoring out of
state - or out of the country!) In addition, both the facility and its operating
procedures meet or exceed the highest standards in the alarm monitoring industry.
Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the central station - the largest
independent central station in the Northeast - is certified by Underwriters
Laboratory, meets UL's fireproof standard, has double or triple back-ups for
electrical, telephone, and recording systems, and has three remote sites running
simultaneously in the event of a catastrophe.
Fast Response
Standard Security System boasts an exceptional response
time. Virtually all of our calls are processed in under one minute.
How Does Monitoring Work?
When your security system is activated, an emergency
signal is transmitted via phone lines to the central station. The central
station computer system automatically determines the nature of the emergency
and displays the data (on most burglary and fire calls) to a trained operator.
The central station operator calls your home. If there is no answer or the
correct pass code is not given, the proper authorities are dispatched.
